The Egyptian kings were also a bit sneaky so they thought that when people who were not kings died they would weigh their heart against a FEATHER!!! Isn't that silly? If the heart was heavier than the feather then they would throw it down a hole where they thought a half hippo half alligator lived

We like learning about Egypt and hope we will get to go there one day!

Egypt has such an interesting history. Have you read about how the actually made a mummy? It's pretty gruesome!! When I was a child I loved visiting the mummy at the museum. They staff at the museum have found out alot about her through using modern technology - I wonder if you can find out what they did?

ReplyDeleteHi Oakley, Becky and Room 8,
ReplyDeleteI love the work you did on Egypt. I live in London, England and I went to visit Egypt last October. I had such a great time. Egypt has such a wonderful and interesting history. I also work with an Egyptian! His name is Roy.
Did you know? Some children in Egypt had a pet monkey or gazelle; cats were sacred and wore a gold earring!
I bet you don't see many cats in New Zealand wearing gold earrings!
Keep up the good work Room 8!
